Gill settled in Apalachicola in 1998, after a full life in the “outside world”. He has a degree in Economics, flew helicopters in Vietnam, and served as the Mayor of Valdosta, Georgia. But as anyone who knows him will tell you his love is the Apalachicola river, and the tales of its denizens. He has even named one of his books “No Greater Love”. His stories delight passengers on his excursions into the pristine backwaters off the river area and you too will be delighted by the tales Gill is so well known for.
